Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani congratulated the people and the government of Kenya for holding a successful presidential election in 2022.
Congratulating the people and the government of Kenya for holding a successful presidential election, Kanaani praised the role of the government, parties, politicians, tribal elders, and religious leaders in holding and conducting the elections, describing it as an example and a successful experience in the region and entire Africa.
Kenya’s Deputy President William Ruto has been elected as the country’s next president, the electoral commission announced Monday (August 15, 2022).
Congratulating Kenya’s president-elect, Kanaani expressed his hope that the political process and the formation of a government in the country will continue on the path of its people’s will.
