Iran envoy talks with Kuwait parliament speaker on bilateral ties

Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s ambassador to Kuwait met and conferred with Kuwaiti Parliament speaker and exchanged viewpoints on bilateral ties and international developments with him.

Islamic Republic of Iran Ambassador Mohammad Irani and Kuwait Parliament Speaker Ahmed Abdulaziz al-Sadoun reviewed the parliamentary bilateral ties while focusing on comprehensive cooperation between the two countries and the most important regional developments.

Ambassador Irani referred to the excellent historical relations between the two countries, especially in the political and cultural fields, and asked for broader bilateral parliamentary relations and consultations within the framework of international and Islamic organizations and conferences.

The Iranian envoy also announced the Iranian Parliament’s readiness for deepening and broadening relations with the Kuwaiti National Parliament, including the establishment of parliamentary friendship groups as a basis for broader ties.

Ahmed Abdulaziz al-Sadoun, for his part, referred to the important and highly influential role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the region, and welcomed the Iranian ambassador’s proposal for broadening bilateral parliamentary relations and broader cooperation in international and Islamic organizations and conferences.
