Iran FM departs for Jordan

Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian on Monday night left the country for Jordan to take part in a summit on Iraq.

The top Iranian diplomat is set to attend the Second Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership on Tuesday, December 20.

Amirabdollahian will join representatives from Iraq, Turkiye, Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Egypt, and France at the summit that focuses on issues faced by Iraq.

The first edition of the Baghdad Conference was held in the Iraqi capital in August 2021.
