Iran FM Elaborates on Foreign Policy Agenda, Goals

In the meeting n Tuesday, the top diplomat heard the participants’ viewpoints before elaborating on the strategies, objectives and operational programs envisaged for Iran’s foreign policy which he had already presented to Parliament.

He also expounded on the foreign policy agenda in different sectors as well as the structure of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs while highlighting the significance of proper interaction with Parliament.

The foreign minister further underscored the necessity of utilizing expert manpower at the ministry in order to achieve foreign policy objectives.

Among other topics underlined by the foreign minister was the necessity of expediting the process of handling the applications involving consular affairs, presenting the viewpoints of the ministry on the Seventh Economic, Social and Cultural Development Plan of the Islamic Republic of Iran (2021-2026) and planning to draw up the national budget for the year 2022.

He also expressed his gratitude to the personnel at the ministry for their untiring efforts with regards to inviting foreign dignitaries to the swearing-in ceremony of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, which was held at a very good level and was attended by high-ranking officials from around the world.
