Iran hijab law: Tehran makes fresh push to force women to wear hijab

One of the main demands of Iran’s protesters that have been demonstrating since last September is an end to the mandatory hijab laws. Images of women walking without a headcovering or even cutting their hair have gone viral across the world. But now authorities are again pushing back. Iran’s deputy attorney general said people who encourage women to remove their head scarves will not only been prosecuted in criminal courts, they’ll also see their right to appeal against any convictions scrapped.
