Iran imports 6m more doses of COVID-19 vaccines

Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s Red Crescent Society (IRCS) on Tuesday delivered the 28th consignment of imported COVID-19 vaccines, containing 6 million doses, to the Health Ministry.

Head of Iran’s Red Crescent Society (IRCS) Karim Hemmati said that the IRSC has imported five consignments consisting of 30 million doses of vaccine in the past ten days.

He added that some 82,390,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were imported so far.

The Ministry of Health announced on Monday (yesterday) that 48,956,693 Iranians have so far received the first dose and 25,156,987 people have received the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
