Iran imports over 1m tons of grains to Imam Khomeini Port in 5 months

Ahvaz, The director general of Grain and Commercial Services of Khouzestan Province said on Tuesday that over one million tons of grains was imported to Imam Khomeini Port in 5 months.

Omid Jahan Nejhadian said to IRNA on Tuesday that during the first five months of the Iranian calendar year (starting on March 21), 613,141 tons of wheat, 199,767 tons of raw sugar, and 207,486 tons of crude edible oil have been unloaded at Imam Khomeini Port.

According to official statistics, Iran imported over 14.5 million tons of basic goods in the previous Iranian calendar year (ended on March 21).
