Iran, Iraq call for ensuring border securities

Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s Ambassador to Baghdad Mohammad-Kazem Ale-Sadegh and Iraq’s National Security Advisor Qassim al-Araji in a meeting on Monday called for ensuring border security in the shared border areas between the two states.

According to Iraqi media, Ale-Sadegh met and held talks with al-Araji in Baghdad, Iraq on Monday.

Iraq’s National Security in a statement said that Al-Araji and Ale-Sadegh discussed strengthening friendly relations and cooperation between Baghdad and Tehran besides the ways to develop the ties in the interests of the two neighboring states.

The two sides reviewed the issue of ensuring securing borders and cooperating on counterterrorism plus trafficking.
