Iran owes flourishing of its nuclear tech to martyrs’ efforts: FM Spox

Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani has said that progress in Iran’s peaceful nuclear program has its roots in efforts made by martyrs such as Rezayinejad.

Kanaani made the remarks in a Tweet to commemorate nuclear scientists especially Dariush Rezayinejad, who was assassinated in east Tehran in July 2011.

The spokesman wrote on his Twitter account on Saturday: “Cowardly assassination of heroes of our scientific prowess didn’t help behind-the-curtain terrorists to achieve their goals.”

“Peaceful nuclear industry of Iran owes its flourishing to Rezayinejad & his fellows,” the diplomat went on to say.

He emphasized: “Their blood & scientific accomplishments will be safeguarded.”

So far, several Iranian scientists have been assassinated in cold blood, given the fact that they were putting forward scientific researches to develop nuclear program for peaceful purposes.
