Tehran, IRNA – Mohsen Naziri, Iran’s ambassador and permanent representative at the United Nations Office in Vienna, said on Thursday that overcoming pandemics and other wide-scale crises require the collective measures of all the UN member states to help other member countries.
He made the remarks during a meeting of a joint cooperation project of Iran and UNIDO in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
Naziri urged the need for maintaining the existing global resolve to fight the disease until it is fully eradicated.
He said that the implementation of this project was indicative of successful cooperation between South-South countries which can set a role model for future cooperation.
