Iran wins title in Asian Karate U-21 Championships

Tehran, July 14, Iranian teenage karatekas bagged 12 different medal in AKF U-21 Championships to crown champion in the tournament.

The Iranian athletes won six gold medals, four silver and two bronze ones to win the title in the competitions underway in Astana, Kazakhstan.

The 2017 AKF Cadet, Junior and U-21 Championships opened in the Kazakh capital on Thursday with the presence of 660 athletes from 27 countries.

In U-21 competitions, Saudi Arabia and Japan ranked second and third respectively after Iran.

Earlier, Iran had won 10 gold medals, four silver and six bronze ones to win the title in cadet and junior competitions.
