Iranian athlete wins World’s Ultimate Strong Man award

An Iranian athlete, Masoud Barzam, hso won the top award at 2121 UAE World Ultimate Strong Man, head of Body Building Council of Iran’s Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad province in west of the country said here on Sunday.

Ayat Arjomand said that in this round of competitions which were held on June 26 and 27, 2121 in the presence of the strongest athletes of the world in the United Arab Emirate the Iranian athlete from this province won the top prize.

Arjomand added that the Iranian team also won three gold, two silver and two bronze medals in the competitions.

The head of Body Building Council of Iran’s Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad said that Masoud Barzam from that province also gained the world’s strongest man award in 105kg group as well as the gold medal of the competitions.

Arjomand meanwhile stressed that the athletics competitions in UAE were held to gain shares in International Strongest Man’s Athletics, which will be held later this month in the United States.

There are over 50,000 athletes in various sports fields under organized training of the province’s different sports federations.
