Iranian envoy in Peshawar highlights Tehran’s will for cooperation with neighbors

Tehran, IRNA — Iranian Consul General in Pakistan’s city of Peshawar Hamid Reza Qomi has said that Tehran is determined to expand economic cooperation with Islamic nations, including neighboring states.

Qomi made the remark on Thursday in Peshawar, the capital city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, in a meeting with a number of Pakistani officials, including the city’s mayor.

The Iranian diplomat stressed the importance of boosting trade between regional countries, including Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.

Iran is willing to develop ties with Islamic nations, particularly its neighbors, in economic and trade fields. For that, Iran believes that it is important to promote cooperation with Pakistan and Afghanistan simultaneously, Qomi said.
