Iranian industrial, mining businesses to visit Venezuela

Tehran, IRNA – Iran is ready to build steel factories or sell steel products and cement to Venezuela, said an Iranian official, adding that a number of Iranian industrial and mining businesses active in these fields will visit the Latin American country.

Referring to the cooperation between Iran and Venezuela in industry, mining and mineral industries, Director for Planning and Strategic Supervision of Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) Amir Sabbagh said in an interview with IRNA on Tuesday that Venezuela is one of the oil exporting countries of Latin America, where the price of oil is in the range of $100 per barrel, which means a good foreign income source for this country.

Sabbagh added that in a meeting held recently with the minister of transportation of Venezuela, it was decided that a number of Iranian experts in industry and mining field have a visit to Venezuela and later on carry out projects for Iranian companies that intend to build industrial units, mining, or exporting to that country.
