Iranian Journal of Language Teaching Research (IJLTR) is still ranking the first in the Middle East region of Scimago Journal and Country Rank, Urmia University chancellor said.
Speaking to IRNA, Rahim Hobnaqi said the Iranian Journal of Language Teaching Research from Urmia University has saved its Q1 ranking.
He added that IJLTR with 0.614 impact factor is standing in the first position among 134 other journals.
Three other Iranian journals named ‘Journal of Research in Applied Linguistics’, ‘Language Related Research’ and ‘Physiology and Pharmacology’ are also ranking 3rd -5th respectively.
Urmia University has also attended ‘CWTS Leiden Ranking’.
According to its official website, “The SCImago Journal & Country Rank is a publicly available portal that includes the journals and country scientific indicators developed from the information contained in the Scopus database (Elsevier B.V.).”
“These indicators can be used to assess and analyze scientific domains. Journals can be compared or analyzed separately.”
