Tehran, IRNA – Meysam Banitaba gained the gold medal on Sunday in -60kg in Kazakhstan after defeating a rival from Turkey.
Banitaba defeated an Indian rival in the second round of games in the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) Judo Grand Prix in Kazakhstan.
He, then, beat a Kyrgyz judoka in the third round and faced his Turkish rival in the final, where he could gain he gold medal.
Five other Iranian participants in the tournament will face their rivals tomorrow.
