Iranian, Pakistani FMs discuss status in Palestine

Tehran, IRNA – Ministers of foreign affairs of Iran and Pakistan in a phone talk on Friday exchanged viewpoints on current status in occupied Palestine after insulting move of a hardliner Zionist cabinet member and attack on Al Aqsa Mosque.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had earlier on Friday night in his official Twitter account written, “I negotiated with the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hossein Amirabdollahian about the current status in Palestine.”

Expressing satisfaction about his talks with the Iranian foreign minister, Zardari added, “In the phone talk we exchanged viewpoints about the recent move of the Zionist regime and its invasion against Al Aqsa Mosque.”

He added that Pakistan strongly condemns the intriguing move made by Israel and, once again repeating its stance on the need for establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the borders before 1967, whose capital city is the Holy Quds, according to the UNSC resolutions and the OIC repeated emphasis.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, too, had on Wednesday issued a statement, strongly condemning the Zionist regime’s breaching of the sanctity of Al Aqsa Mosque, which has aggravated the atmosphere in occupied Palestinian lands.

The new Zionist regime Internal Security Minister Itamar Ben Guir a few days ago along with a number of other Zionists, and relying on the backing of that regime’s military forces in an obviously intriguing move invaded the Al Aqsa Mosque.

The aftermath of the move was the broad protests of the Muslims and many Islamic countries, including the Islamic republics of Iran and Pakistan.
