Iranian screenwriter awarded in Italian Film Festival

Kermanshah, IRNA – “Jaasho” Iranian screenplay written by “Ashkan Chavoshi”, of Kermanshah Province in western Iran, was introduced and honored as the best screenplay at the second international Nostalgia Film Festival (NFF) in Milan, Italy.

Nostalgia Film Festival took take place on September 21-24 at the auditorium of the Politecnico di Milano in 3 sections of the screenplay, feature film, and short film, in which 1,472 artworks, including screenplay, short film, and feature film were sent to the secretariat, and 3 screenplays, 7 feature films, and 28 short films were accepted.

In the best feature film category, “Soft Waves of the Friendly Sea” directed by “Amir Kaveh”, a joint production of Iran and Italy, and in the short film category, the film “Rebellion” directed by “Pierre Philippe Chauvin” from Canada were selected.

The short film, a special award from the Secretary of the Nostalgia Film Festival, went to the short film “Brother” directed by “Pe Tofarolo” from Italy.

Nostalgia Film Festival (NFF) is the first independent Iranian film festival in the north of Italy, with no affiliation to any political or religious organizations, launched in 2019 with the aim of displaying attractive and broad audience Iranian cinematic productions in the European zone.

This international film festival is a seasonal event showcasing independent features and short films made by Iranians from around the world.

The main yearly event will be held in last of September.
