Tehran, IRNA – The name of “A Hero” by Iranian director Asghar Farhadi is included in the preliminary list of the 2022 the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) for the best international film category.
Directed by the Oscar-winning Iranian filmmaker Asghar Farhadi, “A Hero” made its international debut in the 74th Cannes Film Festival and received the Grand Prix.
“A Hero” was nominated for the Best Motion Picture award in the foreign language category, as the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) revealed nominations last month.
The film was competing with “Compartment No. 6”, “The Hand of God”, “Parallel Mother”, and “Drive My Car” which won the golden globe.
According to the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) website, this Academy has revealed its longlists of nominees across 24 categories for its upcoming film awards.
