Iran’s Army ground force equipment become intelligent: Commander

Tehran, IRNA – Commander of Iran’s Army Ground Force Brigadier General Kioumars Heydari said on Thursday that the force’s equipment and artillery have become intelligent.

Speaking on the sidelines of a scientific conference, General Heydari said that the Army Ground Force has made a transition in its structure at the order of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

He also said that the force should cross the current circumstances to make its weapons long-range, with pin-point accuracy, intelligent and network-compatible.

The Army has replaced previous anti-tank missiles with a new model and fulfilled achievements in producing and optimizing drones, according to Heydari.

The General also noted that the Army has some plans dedicated to smartization of equipment and has deployed the first variant of smart artillery projectiles, whose efficacy will be tested in upcoming drills.
