Tehran, IRNA – As elections of the Asian Weightlifting Federation partly ended in Doha, Qatar, on Thursday, 4 of Iran’s candidates gained its positions.
In the elections of the Asian Weightlifting Federation which started on Thursday in Doha will end on Friday and Yusof al-Mena gained the position of the head of the federation, while Muhammad al-Harbi became the federation’s secretary general and Muhammad Jalud al-Iraqi became the deputy head of the Asian Weightlifting Federation
Iran’s London Olympic silver medal winner Sajjad Anushirvani, too, was elected as one of the federation’s Executive Delegation members.
Also, 2012 London Olympics gold medal winner from Iran, Behdad Salimi was elected as a member of the federation’s Technical Committee, 2001 world champion Kurosh Bagheri was elected as a member of the Research and Coaches Committee member and Dr. Amin Nowruzi as a member of the Asian Weight Lifting Federation Medical Committee member.
