Tehran, IRNA– Iran’s Hossein Vafaei defeated Mark Selby, the three-time Masters champion, 6-2 in the 2023 Masters on Sunday evening.
Vafaei is the first Iranian to win a ranking tournament and the first to play in the Masters.
The 2023 Masters (officially known as 2023 Cazoo Masters) is a professional non-ranking snooker tournament that is underway at Alexandra Palace in London, England.
The Masters is one of the most important tournaments in the world of snooker and only the top 16 people in the world ranking can qualify for this tournament.
