Iraqi Airways Performs Its First Flights To The New Cairo Airport

The Ministry of Transport, represented by the General Company of Iraqi Airways, announced today, Saturday, that it has started performing flights to the new Cairo Airport to and from Terminal No. (3), in the presence of the Iraqi Ambassador to Egypt Ahmed Al-Dulaimi.

The company’s general manager, Eng. Karim Kadhim Hussein, said in a statement: “In implementation of the directives of the Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhibis Al-Saadawi, all flights of the national carrier will be received and scheduled to and from Terminal No. (3) at the new airport, after they were previously carried out to Terminal No. 1

He continued: “This step will provide travelers with better services due to the high specifications of the building, in addition to the possibility of expanding horizons of joint commercial cooperation with the (STAR ALLIANCE) companies that operate their flights through this building.”
