Iraqi Minister of Justice in Tehran to review bilateral legal ties

Tehran, IRNA – Iraqi Minister of Justice Salar Abdul Sattar Muhammad heading a delegation arrived in Tehran on Monday to discuss ways to reinforce bilateral legal and judicial relations.

The four-day visit comes in response to the last-year visit of Ebrahim Raisi the then Iranian Judiciary Chief Ebrahim Raisi and former Justice Minister Alireza Avaie to Iraq.

Continued cooperation between the two countries in the assassination case of Iran’s martyred commander Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and visiting Imam Reza (AS) Holy Shrine is on the agenda of the Iraqi minister’s visit.

Welcoming the Iraqi Minister in Tehran, Iran’s deputy Justice Minister for human rights and international affairs Mahmoud Abbasi expressed hope for the visit to pave way for reinforcing relations and extraditing convicts.
