IRGC dismantles anti-revolutionary group in west of Iran

Islamic Revolution Guards Corps in Kordestan said that it has traced and dismantled an anti-revolutionary group prior to the recently-held elections in Iran.

IRGC issued a communiqué on Wednesday saying that the mission left five soldiers of fortune dead.

Also, some three mercenaries got wounded during the operation, it added.

Some weapons and ammunition were seized from the terrorist agents, it further noted.

On Friday, June 18, the 13th presidential election was held simultaneous with the sixth round of city and village councils elections, the first mid-term for the 11th parliament’s by-election, and the second mid-term for the fifth Assembly of Experts election.
