IRGC makes operational Quds domestic radar

Tehran, IRNA – Quds domestic radar was put into operation for the first time by IRGC air forces in the joint Modafe’an-e Aseman-e Velayat (Defenders of Skies under Guardianship of Supreme Jurisprudence) military drill.

Quds Radar is able to monitor targets at a 500km range and altitude of over 90,000 feet.

Tactical and single-vehicle capability, domestic software, the ability to deal with electronic warfare in various techniques, friend-enemy detection system and the ability to link with defense systems are among the characteristics of Quds radar system.

The joint Modafe’an-e Aseman-e Velayat (Defenders of Skies under Guardianship of Supreme Jurisprudence) military drill started by deploying domestic missile systems, radar, reconnaissance, electronic warfare, communication systems and visual surveillance network in the Dasht-e Kavir on Tuesday morning.

Deploying IRGC Regional Command and Control (ROC) systems, Meraj, Fatah-2, Bashir and Quds indigenous radar systems, tactical information and reconnaissance systems, electro-optical systems and electronic warfare systems are among programs of the drill.
