IsDBI and Indonesian Financial Services Authority Review Future of the Islamic Financial System

The Chairman of the Indonesian Financial Services Authority, Mahendra Siregar, met at the Indonesian Financial Services Authority headquarters in Jakarta with the Acting Director General of the Islamic Development Bank Institute (IsDBI), Dr. Sami Al-Suwailem.

The meeting focused on the Islamic financial system and a review of the Islamic Development Bank’s program for developing Sukuk. The program aims to enhance the role of Sukuk in supporting development in member states. It is based on three main pillars: the Sukuk Enhancement Fund, the Sovereign Finance Corporation, and the Sukuk linked to the cash endowment.
