KFSHRC Awarded for its Contribution at NYC C3 Summit Davos of Healthcare


King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSHRC) Deputy Chief Executive Officer Dr. Björn Zoéga was awarded this year’s C3 Global Innovative Healthcare and Impact Transformation Award at the just concluded NYC C3 Summit Davos of Healthcare, testimony to the center’s leading position in healthcare innovation and transformation.



In a press release issued today, KFSHRC said that as a C3 Strategic Partner and Scientific Committee Chair, it was instrumental in shaping discussions on the future of healthcare and addressing some of the most pressing global healthcare challenges.



Key presentations at the summit focused on biotechnology, AI, robotics, and precision medicine.



The award granted to Zoéga acknowledges KFSHRC’s commitment to improving health care through novel solutions, expanding access to it, and reducing its costs, all while promoting sustainability and social responsibility.



KFSHRC leaders, including Zoéga, Executive Director of Research and Innovation Dr. Edward Cupler, head of Cardiac Surgery and Director of the Robotics and Minimally Invasive Surgery Program Dr. Feras Khaliel, and head of Genomic Medicine Dr. Salah Baz, led sessions with insightful discussions about advanced medical technologies.



Cupler talked about KFSHRC’s progress in introducing Saudi Arabia as a global biotech powerhouse, Khaliel explored the use of robotics in surgery, and Baz’s session on whole genome sequencing highlighted the technology’s potential in diagnosing rare diseases and advancing personalized care.



KFSHRC, the release said, is committed to expanding its global partnerships and continuing its mission to deliver accessible, patient-centered, and technology-driven healthcare solutions that have a lasting impact on patients worldwide.
