King of Bahrain Receives Speaker of Saudi Shura Council


King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain today received Speaker of the Saudi Shura Council Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh at Al Safriya Palace.

King Hamad welcomed the speaker of the Shura Council, who conveyed the greetings and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and their well-wishes to the government and people of Bahrain for further progress and prosperity.

The Bahraini king reciprocated the greetings and also conveyed his sincere wishes for good health and wellness to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and for further prosperity and development to the Saudi people.

King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa praised the deep-rooted historical relations between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia and the high level of close cooperation and mutual coordination achieved on all fronts to fulfill their interests and the aspiratio
ns of the two countries.

He also expressed appreciation and pride in the efforts of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in strengthening the historical ties between the two kingdoms and commended the instrumental role of the Shura and Representative Councils in Bahrain and the Shura Council in Saudi Arabia in bolstering the relations between the two peoples and supporting the development renaissance in the two countries.

The king also welcomed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Bahraini Council of Representatives and the Saudi Shura Council, which aims to expand and strengthen cooperation frameworks, exchange expertise and experiences at the legislative and parliamentary levels, and coordinate positions in various regional and international parliamentary forums.

Dr. Al Al-Sheikh expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the King of Bahrain for his warm reception and hospitality. During the reception, the distinguished historical relations between the two countries and topi
cs of mutual interest were discussed.
