Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Hailed for Efforts in Floating Safer Tanker, Donating $8 Million for Salvage Operation

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s permanent delegation to the United Nations in New York City has received messages of appreciation from the Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs in Yemen, David Gresley, and the Regional Director for Arab Countries at the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Abdallah Al-Dardari, for the Kingdom’s support for the Safer Oil Tanker Salvage Operation Project.

The Kingdom also received thanks from the Administrator of the UNDP, Achim Steiner, for donating $8 million, in addition to $10 million previously donated in this regard.

Steiner met with the Kingdom’s permanent representative to the United Nations in New York City and discussed updates on the operational plan for the floating of Safer oil tanker.
