KSGAAL Announces End of Nomination Period for Its Third Award


Riyadh: The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL) has announced the end of the nomination period for the third edition of the King Salman Global Academy Award for Arabic Language for individuals and institutions worldwide.

The nomination period for this edition lasted 64 days. The award aims to enhance the status of the Arabic language, celebrate the efforts of those who serve it, both individuals and institutions and encourage them to care for and preserve it.

The award is part of the continuous support and assistance from the Minister of Culture and Chairman of the KSGAAL Board of Trustees, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, for all the academy’s work, programs, and activities. This support helps promote the presence of the Arabic language both locally and internationally. The award recognizes the efforts of individuals and institutions that work in the field of the Arabic language, honours distinguished contributors, and appreciates the roles of relevant specializations in ensuring a
prosperous future for the Arabic language. The award also ensures Arabic presence among other languages, boosts and enriches Arabic knowledge content, and raises awareness of the value and esteemed status of the Arabic language.

The award is one of the strategic initiatives launched by the academy to serve and enhance the presence of the Arabic language, in line with the objectives of the Human Capability Development Program, one of the programs for realizing the Saudi Vision 2030.

The award comprises four categories: Arabic language teaching and learning; Arabic language computation and the utilization of modern technologies to serve the language; Arabic language research and scientific studies; and promoting linguistic awareness and initiating community language initiatives for individuals and institutions.
