The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) on Saturday launched a project to distribute shelter materials and winter bags to flood-affected people in Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan in Pakistan for the 2023-2024 year, which benefited 350,000 individuals.

The inauguration ceremony, held at the Saudi embassy in Islamabad, was attended by Saudi Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki, Minister of Religious Affairs and Inter-Religious Harmony of Pakistan Aneeq Ahmad, Director of KSrelief branch in Pakistan Dr. Khalid Al-Othmani, and several officials.

Al-Maliki stressed that this project is in compliance with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and is part of the Kingdom’s continued support to the people in Pakistan. He added that this assistance reflects the wise leadership’s keenness to stand with the brotherly Pakistani people in all times of crises and hardships.

These efforts are a reflection of the Kingdom’s commitment, represented by KSrelief, to provide support for humanitarian actions in countries and communities affected by crises, with the aim to alleviate the suffering of those in need regardless of their location.
