KSrelief Supervisor General Highlights Saudi Arabia’s Humanitarian Response in Gaza

Amman, Supervisor General of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) and Advisor at the Royal Court Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah highlighted Saudi Arabia’s extensive humanitarian efforts in the Gaza Strip during a press conference at the Saudi Embassy in Jordan, held on the sidelines of the “Call for Action: Urgent Humanitarian Response for Gaza” conference.

Al Rabeeah detailed the Kingdom’s immediate response to the crisis, citing directives from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to launch a fundraising campaign through the Sahem platform to support the Palestinian people in Gaza. Donations have already reached SAR700 million.

Additionally, Saudi Arabia has established an airlift with 53 aircraft and a maritime bridge, deploying eight ships to deliver aid. Two relief ships were recently dispatched from Jeddah to support both Palestinians and Sudanese p
eople. Over 500 land convoys have also been sent. Al Rabeeah stressed ongoing coordination with Jordan to facilitate further aid delivery through airdrops.

Urging the international community to pressure Israel, Al Rabeeah stated, “Hundreds of our aid convoys are currently in Rafah awaiting entry into Gaza. Additional Saudi assistance is being coordinated with Jordan for swift delivery.” He concluded by emphasizing the Gaza Strip’s critical need for hospital and healthcare facility rehabilitation.
