Makkah Mayor Meets with Entrepreneurs, Investors to Discuss Investment Opportunities

Mayor of Makkah Musad Abdulaziz Aldaood met today at the Makkah Chamber of Commerce with several entrepreneurs and investors to discuss the future of investment, how to improve the business environment, and present unique and sustainable investment opportunities in the municipal services sector in Makkah.

Discussed at the meeting were ways to improve the quality of life, achieve financial sustainability, and meet the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030, which focuses on boosting investment and increasing revenues.

The mayor stressed his commitment to meeting the last two objectives, given the distinctive nature of the region’s investment opportunities, which will increase the attractiveness of the city, and help improve the quality of services, and especially the unremitting support of the wise leadership.

The meeting reiterated the importance of capitalizing on available investment opportunities, and of improving communication among medium and small enterprises and the Makkah Municipality, and shed light
on key pillars supporting Saudi youths in building a promising future for the business sector and establishing a genuine partnership between entrepreneurs in Makkah and institutions supporting the business sector.

The Makkah Municipality launched a new package of investment opportunities through the Furas platform; they include six projects, including three entailing the establishment, operation, and maintenance of malls and one for the establishment, operation, and maintenance of a women’s health and fitness center.

According to the municipality, demand for municipal investments and the successes achieved thus far reflects the importance of this sector, its ability to improve the services provided to residents and visitors, and the development Makkah has achieved in various fields.
