Makkah: The Roads General Authority (RGA) has made extensive preparations on all roads leading to the holy sites to ensure the safety and convenience of pilgrims. The Kingdom’s road network, globally recognized as the top-ranking in connectivity by the Global Competitiveness Forum, plays a crucial role in facilitating pilgrim movement and enhancing their travel experience.
The RGA has installed over 3,500 road signs, including guidance signs, distance markers to indicate remaining travel distances, and directional signs for different regions.
Furthermore, the authority has taken proactive measures to enhance the road network’s readiness well before the Hajj season. It has conducted comprehensive surveys of roads from border crossings to the holy sites and implemented extensive maintenance and safety measures to guarantee smooth and secure travel for pilgrims.
