Makkah Route Initiative Completes Procedures for Turkish Pilgrims

Makkah Route Initiative at Istanbul International Airport completed the necessary procedures for over 579 male and female pilgrims from the Republic of Turkiye who are about to embark on their journey to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The first group of pilgrims will be heading to Jeddah Airport, while the second group will be heading to Madinah.

Makkah Route Initiative is one of the Ministry of Interior’s programs aimed at providing comprehensive services to pilgrims. Aligned with the Saudi Vision 2030, this initiative aims to facilitate the arrival and streamlined completion of procedures for pilgrims from their respective countries. The process begins with the issuance of electronic visas and the collection of essential information, followed by efficient passport procedures at the departure airport. These steps are taken after verifying compliance with health requirements. Additionally, luggage is coded and sorted according to transportation and accommodation arrangements in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
