Malaysian PM congratulates Iranian President-election Raisi

Tehran, IRNA – Prime Minister of Malaysia Muhyiddin Yassin has sent a congratulation message to Iran’s President-elect Ebrahim Raisi for his overwhelming victory in the elections.

According to the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kuala Lumpur, Prime Minister Yassin sent the message on behalf of the people and government of Malaysia to Iran’s President-elect Raisi for his victory in elections.

In this message, Yassin emphasized that Malaysia and Iran have been close partners for several years and that the relations between the two countries have grown and strengthened in a wide range from active economic cooperation to close relations between the people of the two countries.

Prime Minister of Malaysia added that Tehran and Kuala Lumpur are also working closely with each other in multilateral organizations, especially in the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation.

He also expressed willingness to work closely with Raisi to further enhance cooperation between Malaysia and Iran in the mutual interests of the people of the two countries, as well as the interests of world peace, stability, and happiness on a larger scale.

Raisi secured more than 18 million votes to win Iran’s presidential election.
