MATARAT Holding Receives Best Crisis Communication Strategy Award in SGCA 2024

MATARAT Holding, represented by its marketing and corporate communication sector, was awarded “Best Crisis Communication Strategy” at the 11th annual Sharjah Government Communication Award (SGCA) 2024 on Thursday, according to a news release. The award ceremony took place at the Expo Centre Sharjah, following MATARAT Holding’s nomination for the shortlist in the category for government entities, the private sector, and international organizations.

MATARAT Holding’s submission, titled “The Impact of Global Cyber Outage on Saudi Airports,” highlighted its crisis management strategy, particularly during the global cyber outage that affected several airports and companies worldwide.

The submission emphasized the communication strategy’s creativity and innovation, its uniqueness, and its responsiveness to the needs and expectations of the public and communities affected by the crisis. It also demonstrated how the strategy achieved its objectives during implementation and its capability to deliver sustainable a
nd long-term results.

“Receiving the award reflects the significant progress in Saudi Arabia, as corporate communication continues to advance locally, regionally, and internationally, positioning Saudi Arabia as a leader in the field,” said MATARAT Holding vice president of marketing and corporate communication Ahmad Almusained.

“Winning the award recognizes the ongoing efforts to enhance the transportation and aviation sectors in Saudi Arabia and reflects the collaboration between GACA (General Authority on Civil Aviation), MATARAT Holding, and its subsidiaries, carriers, and other entities to mitigate the impact of the crisis and implement MATARAT Holding’s crisis management strategy,’ Almusained said.
