Minister of Health Checks on Nupco’s Preparations for Hajj Season


Mina: The Minister of Health, Fahd bin Abdurrahman Al-Jalajel, who is also Chairman of the Board of the National Company for Unified Procurement (Nupco), received at the Arafat holy site today Minister of Transport and Logistics, Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser and Deputy Minister of Transport and Logistics for Road Affairs Eng. Badr Al-Dalami to review the preparations of Nupco and its cadres for the Hajj season 1445 AH, in providing integrated health care for pilgrims and supporting other entities working in the healthcare sector.

The meeting discussed the medical and logistical preparations of the holy sites to serve the pilgrims. Al-Jalajel reviewed the work in the command and control centre, the mechanism for following up on inventory indicators at hospitals and health centres, and the latest means of transporting medical items in emergency situations.

‘Nupco’ participates in the Hajj season with field teams of 159 employees and a fleet of over 60 trucks to provide more than 1860 medical items, coverin
g over 104 hospitals and medical centres in the holy sites. Nupco has also provided three mobile medical warehouses allocated in the most important locations in the holy sites, which are transported and redeployed according to the Hajj dispatch plan.
