Minister of Islamic Affairs: Saudi Arabia Supports Competitions to Encourage Muslims to Memorize Holy Quran


Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh affirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has consistently prioritized the care and promotion of the Holy Quran since its establishment, encouraging both Muslim men and women to memorize it.

This statement was made in a speech delivered on his behalf by Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawa, and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Awad bin Sabti Al-Anazi during the closing ceremony of the national Holy Quran memorization contest for girls, held at the Imam Al-Sarakhsi Mosque in Kyrgyzstan. The event was attended by a large gathering of political, social, and cultural leaders.

Sheikh Dr. Al-Anazi praised the significant achievements of the King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorization, Recitation, and Interpretation of the Holy Quran, which concluded its 44th session last month with participation from over 123 countries.
