The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that it is following with great concern the news of the incident involving Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian, and his accompanying delegation.

It expressed its wishes for the safety of the Iranian President and his entourage, and affirmed its solidarity and sympathy with the government and people of the Islamic Republic in these difficult circumstances.

The Foreign Ministry renewed Iraq’s full readiness to provide all forms of support and assistance in search and rescue operations.
