Mobily Showcases Investments in Submarine Cables, Terrestrial Networks at Submarine Networks World Conference in Singapore


Etihad Etisalat (Mobily), a Saudi Arabian telecommunications services company, announced today in a press release its participation in this year’s Submarine Networks World conference, which is taking place from September 25 to 26 in Singapore.

According to the release, with over 130 speakers addressing key global telecommunications and submarine industry issues, Mobily will highlight its strategic investments in submarine cables, terrestrial networks, data centers, and internet exchanges.

These efforts are part of its mission to expand global infrastructure and foster partnerships aligned with evolving industry demands. Mobily’s participation highlights its role as a wholesale and digital infrastructure leader, providing unique solutions for operators, data centers, cloud providers, internet exchanges, and content providers. The company’s commitment to developing its global infrastructure and strengthening partnerships underscores its response to the rising demand and rapid changes in the telecom industry.

According to the release, Mobily’s key focus is expanding its presence in submarine cable systems, which enhance its international network by improving technology, accessibility, coverage, and route diversity. Mobily is actively involved in global alliances to construct submarine cables and is a member of several submarine cable systems. It also operates four strategic landing stations within Saudi Arabia, contributing to Vision 2030’s goal of establishing the country as a global digital hub connecting East and West.

Mobily, the release said, has expanded its network and provided integrated communication services and solutions using advanced technologies to connect different locations through Mobily’s local and international infrastructure, the latest of which is the SEA-ME-WE-6 continental cable that will be landed in Yanbu city in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and extends from Asia in the east to Europe in the west, passing through the Middle East, as well as the landing of the Africa-1 continental cable in
Duba city, which connects Asia and the Middle East to Africa and Europe.

These investments and efforts by Mobily aim to develop its infrastructure and provide the latest services and solutions to its national and international customers.
