Najran’s Youth Embraces Equestrianism

The breeding and taming of Arabian horses have long been a cherished tradition in the Najran region. This cultural and historical heritage symbolizes originality, pride, and courage and is passed down from generation to generation.

Equestrian sports not only enhance self-confidence but also teach patience, endurance, and discipline. The physical and psychological benefits of horse riding have made it popular among many Najran residents.

Many families in Najran and its governorates are passionate about raising and owning Arabian horses. They instill this love of equestrianism in their children by teaching them to ride and care for horses. As a result, horse stables have become common throughout the region.

Some stable owners told SPA that horseback riding is particularly popular among young people in Wadi Najran. They enjoy spending their free time riding horses, “a fun and rewarding activity that improves mental health, physical fitness, and self-confidence,” they said.
