National Water Company Distributes Over 916 Million Liters of Water to Makkah, Other Holy Sites on First Day of Eid Al-Adha

Mina: The National Water Company (NWC) has distributed over 916 million liters of water through the public water network in Makkah and the other holy sites on the first day of Eid Al-Adha.

NWC said that the water and sewage treatment sectors in Makkah and the other Holy Sites are operating according to prepared plans, and that in the past 24 hours, over 622 million liters of water were distributed in Makkah, and over 294 million liters at other holy sites.

The company’s operation and maintenance centers at the holy sites continue their field work; 27 centers are equipped and ready to serve pilgrims.

Water is being pumped round the clock to the Grand Mosque facilities, other holy sites, and the central area of the city.

In Makkah, water has been pumped to neighborhoods 21 hours a day.

According to NWC, fixed and mobile laboratories in Makkah and the other holy sites are operating non-stop to ensure that the water provided to pilgrims is of good quality.

On the first day of Eid Al-Adha, 4,233 labora
tory tests were conducted on water samples.
