NIDLP Invites Entrepreneurs to Join Third Edition of 1K Mile Entrepreneurship Program

The National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP) has invited entrepreneurs, innovators, and project owners in the industrial, logistics, and mining sectors to register for the third edition of the “1K Mile” Entrepreneurship Program.

The program, aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 goals, is designed to attract entrepreneurs to create detailed feasibility studies for industrial, logistics, or mining projects that are both viable and sustainable.

In this edition, unique initiatives will be introduced to help entrepreneurs launch their projects by providing them with access to resources, experts, and potential investors.

A notable feature of this edition is the emphasis on global collaboration with partnerships established with international incubators and accelerators specialized in training, mentoring, and networking, to attract investments for the 1K Mile projects.

Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources and Chairman of the NIDLP Committee Bandar Alkhorayef announced the launch of the t
hird edition at the awards ceremony of the second edition, in August 2024.

Alkhorayef underscored NIDLP’s dedication to supporting young entrepreneurs through incentives and expert guidance, and highlighted the abundance of high-quality projects. He said that the third edition aims to attract new opportunities and investments.

The second edition witnessed over 4,000 registrations, with 84 candidates progressing to the final stage after conducting feasibility studies to ensure that their projects were in line with the objectives of Vision 2030.

The 1K Mile program seeks to foster entrepreneurship in the industrial, service, logistics, and mining sectors, enabling entrepreneurs to leverage the significant transformation brought about by Vision 2030. It leverages advancements in promising sectors, advanced infrastructure, diverse resources, and improved investment environments. It also aims to take advantage of the Kingdom’s strategic geographic location, which facilitates access to local and international
markets.
