Non-oil foreign trade of Iran stands over $8m

Tehran, IRNA – The spokesman of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi said on Wednesday that Iran’s non-oil foreign trade stands over $8m from March 21 to May 21, 2022.

Latifi said that over 1.2 million tons of goods have been traded between Iran and four countries around the Caspian Sea from March 21 to May 21, showing a 38-percent increase in comparison to the first two months of the previous year.

Pointing to export destinations of Iranian commodities, he said, Azerbaijan Republic was the first importer with 121.338 tons of goods with a value of 114.977 million dollars.

Russia stood as the second importer of Iranian goods with 198.663 tons of goods with a value of 68.584 million dollars, followed by Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan which were the third to fourth biggest importers of Iranian commodities in that period, he said.
