Official: Iran-Eastern Africa trade doubled in 5 months

Tehran, IRNA – Deputy Head of Iran Trade Promotion Organization for promoting commercial markets affairs said that the volume of trade between Iran and Eastern Africa has doubled during the first five months of the current Iranian calendar year.
Speaking to IRIB, Ahmad Reza Alaie Tabatabaie referred to the measures taken in line with solving infrastructural problems like creating logistic lines between Iran and Oman.
Regarding free trade with Pakistan, he vowed positive growth in this regard in the coming months.
He noted that the volume of trade with Africa in five months this year has been equal to the total amount of exports to Africa last year.
