Pres Raisi calls for easier regulations in Iran-Africa trade ties

Tehran, IRNA – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has called for easier regulations and tariffs in economic relations between the Islamic Republic and countries in West Africa region.

President Raisi made the plea on Tuesday while addressing delegates attending a conference to boost economic and scientific cooperation between Iran and West African countries.

The Iranian president stressed the importance of efforts to facilitate the participation of private investors in trade and economic projects involving other countries and blocs.

He went on to say that the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to supply technology and expertise to brotherly and friendly countries in Africa.

Promotion of cooperation between Iran and Africa is not aimed taking a share of Africa’s wealth but it is aimed at bolstering progress and welfare of all nations, including those in Africa, the president stressed.

Raisi referred to Iran’s capabilities in the fields of energy, engineering, transportation, mining, and agriculture and said those capabilities can be used to foster Iran’s ties with African countries.
