Tehran, IRNA – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi in a meeting with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on Tuesday described Iran and China as friends of tough times.
President Raisi was welcomed by President Xi Jinping in a ceremony held at the headquarters of the National People’s Congress of China in Beijing.
Stressing the importance of parliamentary cooperation on the development of mutual cooperation, President Raisi thanked the constructive support of the National People’s Congress of China in advancing the strategic ties between Iran and China.
Referring to the appropriate level of friendly ties and historical relations between Iran and China, Iran’s president described Iran and China as two friends in hard times and emphasized the strengthening of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Iran and China.
The necessity of using the capacity of regional and trans-regional mechanisms was emphasized in the meeting.
Referring to the achievements of the National People’s Congress of China in preparing and approving China’s development plans, the two sides emphasized on exchanging experience in this area.
