Based on the Article 176 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran, President Raisi appointed Dr the Minister of Interior Dr Ahmad Vahidi as ‘Chief of Country’s Security Council’.

In his letter of appointment, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi has expressed hope that the Chief of Country’s Security Council, as the powerful arm of the Supreme National Security Council, cooperate with all related organs to improve security in the country
